Apparently, I’m Delicate

I was doing so WELL.  I was tossing kettle bells around like crazy.  50 lbs? Pffft piece of cake.  Bench press?  No problem.  Hop on the treadmill: easy peasy lemon squeezy.  Joking around with a friend and feel (and hear) a pop in my neck and OH MY GAWD what just happened?!?!?! Yup.  That happened.  I’m not proud about it.  At all.  And now I have that wonderfully tight catch in my neck and down the left side underneath my shoulder blade.  Fantastic.  And it’s Easter weekend so I can’t get to anyone to do much about it.  At least I forget about it most of the time.  And then….YIKES.

Hot off the presses.

This isn’t a workout shirt, it’s just a shirt to wear around.  A lot of people look at me like I’m crazy but a lot of people come in for the hugs.  I think this is one of my favourite shirts ever.

Oh and the workouts that I did actually do? How’s this for sad: I forgot to keep track.  I know there was some elliptical and some treadmill and some weights and that’s about it. Truthfully, I’ve been so busy and having so much trouble getting a good sleep that my brain is fried most days.  I wish I knew why but for some reason my mind just does not shut down and I’m exhausted and running on fumes which makes it even worse.  I have a feeling that part of it is because I’ve been less than diligent with my nutrition and am most likely lacking on quite a few nutrients.

I have a few days off coming up soon that I’m turning into something of a reset period to get everything back on track.  And if that doesn’t work, I have a vacation coming up in a few weeks that I have been looking forward to for-ev-er so that should help.

As you’ve no doubt guessed, there isn’t really much food wise.  Breakfast has been either my standard scrambled egg/egg whites with english muffin or hemp cereal with Greek yogurt and almond milk with a sliced banana.  Everything else is something of a crapshoot.  Oh and lots of coffee.

The pups like yogurt too.

Although, I did have a wonderful barbecue meal at Wenona Craft Beer Lodge the other night with some friends.  I split the Pitmasters for Two with a friend.  That’s five pounds of a variety of meat, two hushpuppies each, a buttery biscuit, and coleslaw.  It was a pig out (get it).  I just wanted a nap after.

    1. I barely needed to eat for a very long time after that BBQ feast. Sooooooo gooey. OK ready for this? I have no tiger balm no pain killers nothing. It’s been forever since I’ve used any of that stuff. Maple whiskey seems to be helping though. Good for what ails ya.
