Versatile Blogger Award

Wow!  Thank you to Shannon G at MSnubutterflies for nominating me for this award.  This is a huge honour from a very wonderful person.

Because I was nominated, I need to follow the following rules:

  • Thank the person that nominated you and include a link to their blog.
  • Nominate at least 15 blogs of your choice.
  • Link your nominees and let them know of your nomination.  (OK this is what I’m bad at so I hope I got everyone)
  • Share 7 facts about yourself!

7 Fact About Me

  1. I have a second blog about road trips with my dogs.  I’ll admit I was never sure if I was going to share that but, well, here it is: AdventureDawgs (hmmmm would it be wrong to nominate it?  Kidding of course)
  2. I have a side baking business.
  3. I can’t grow anything besides hot peppers unlike my mother who can make a stick grow.
  4. I have a degree in Anthropology.
  5. I learned how to forage for wild foods when I was a kid.
  6. I’m estranged from most of my family.
  7. I’m allergic to Elastoplast band-aids which is strange because I pretty much spent most of my early years mummified in them.

Now I know that not everyone will follow along because these awards can seem like chain letters.  If you want to join in the fun that’s cool. And if not, no worries.

My nominations:

  1. runningfastliftingheavy
  2. PT Contender
  3. mackmarie
  4. CRAVE_LIfe
  5. Never A Dull Bling
  6. Staying healthy isn’t a crime – Fitness is a lifestyle choice
  7. The Real Life
  8. Recipe in a Bottle
  9. izzie’s kitchen
  10. Deutscher Wanderwolf
  11. The Healthiest Me
  12. jenna runs

    1. Thank you. And thank you on the dogs. Will your Yorkie ever make a cameo? 😋 I get the not accepting awards thing but do you mind if keep putting your blog out there? I think it’s a great site to promote. Cheers

oh and you nominated my arch nemosis: PT contender, aka Jess. ugh.. that girl is no good! lmfao. jk 🙂
Good stuff to learn about, I can’t grow shit either, obviously I will never own a garden because it would go to waste. I have no allergies that I am aware of, yay!
Also, I had not known about your baking business, your degree and side blog page about the dogs! 🙂 Love the pups! How long have you been a baker? why is a side project and not full time? Also, do you like what you got your degree in?

    1. Hey play nice with the other friends ;)>
I’ve been baking for years. The official business is more for the tax write-offs. I enjoy doing it but I wouldn’t want to do it full time because it would cut into travel time with my monsters. I liked learning that stuff and I think it gave me a good analytical base but there’s not much of a career in it and I’m so far out of school that I’d have to go back to school to relearn everything. Ugh

      1. You can cut time from traveling, it is called sacrifices! you should make it a full time business and blog about it! hell why don’t you blog about it now? are you trying to keep the recipes to yourself? pft rude! lol. jk.
I was going to ask if the careers are at large, I wasn’t sure. what made you decide that major?

      2. I think that once I’m done travelling then I may settle down and bake. I love doing it but I don’t think I would want to do it as a sole source of income at this stage. And I haven’t really been in the cooking/baking mood lately but that may change. I decided on that major because it interested me. I like taking a holistic approach at society and such. Take a step back and observe things.

      3. Yes, make it your sole source of income. no need to travel anymore. you have seen everything and viewed the world, time for you to relax and retire! lmfao. (notice me hindering you) bahahahaha! I am kidding, no, but I totally understand where you are coming from.

Have you thought about going back to school to relearn things and start on your major as part of actual work?

      4. Haha actually quite a few people have said I should open a bakery but it’s just not the time for it. If there was a specific job that I wanted to do then I would go back to school. But there isn’t. So I won’t.
